Teaching Philosophy

Passionate about shaping minds — both those aligned and those unaligned with control engineering and renewable energies — to appreciate the rigour and beauty of analytical thinking applied to real engineering challenges. With over 15 years of combined experience in academia (Ecuador, Mexico, and Colombia) and industry, the emphasis has always been on bridging the gap between mathematical foundations and the practical demands of automation, energy, and robotics. Teaching is seen not as information transfer, but as the cultivation of curiosity and the discipline to follow an idea all the way to its implementation.

Beyond the Lab

Outside of research and the classroom, there are a few passions that keep the mind sharp and the spirit alive:

🏎️

Speed
Karting and Formula 1 enthusiast — the engineering of going fast.

🏋️

Crossfit
High-intensity training that mirrors the mindset of problem solving: push limits, measure results.

📖

Reading
"Thus Spoke Zarathustra" by Nietzsche — and the occasional control systems textbook.
